Those who know Lisbon’s geography may think this tour is something of a Mission Impossible. Well, there are good news and bad news.

Let’s start with the bad news: Lisbon has 7 hills so this is not going to be “just another bike tour” because the challenge level has gone up at this point. Anyway, we can guarantee that this is going to be a memorable trip, for the best possible reasons.

The good news: our bikes are electric, surprisingly easy to ride and eco-friendly! They even help you go up… Furthermore in 2h30 it’s impossible to visit the 7 hills, usually the time available allows to visit between 2 to 3 belvederes, depending of course on the characteristics of the group.

One common tip to discover a city for real is to get lost in it! Our rule to discover the best of Lisbon is… by following our adorable guides! They are specialized in the Portuguese history, some cheeky curiosities and hidden spots! They look crazy but they’re only crazy about Lisbon.

  • Alfama: Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood and the most charming one, it’s considered the historic soul of Lisbon and its steep, cobblestoned lanes stand just as they were in medieval.
  • National Pantheon: Also known as St. Engratia Church, it’s a majestic baroque monument that took three centuries to build (from 1682 to 1966) and is the resting place of the most important cultural and political figures in the country.
  • Senhora do Monte belvedere: One of the highest points in the city with a magnificent view.
  • Mouraria: Here you can find flavors from all around the world, represented by countries such as China, India, Mozambique, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan among others. Once a marginal neighbourhood, Mouraria has benefited from an important investment and rehabilitation process that have made it one of the most interesting places to visit in Lisbon.
  • Lisbon Cathedral: Officially referred to as Santa Maria Maior de Lisboa (Patriarchal Cathedral of Saint Mary Major) is the oldest place of worship in Lisbon, dating back to the mid 12th century (between 1147 and the early 13th century).
  • Comércio Square: This Square was the centerpiece of the reconstruction that took place after the earthquake of 1755 which has reduced Lisbon to rubble. In a privilege location, facing the river, this is the most popular square in Lisbon and one of the largest in Europe.

"City of hills, you need an electric bike. How cool was this. Two adults and teenage daughter with our superb guides, Francisca and Antonio, biking up and down hills and seeing lots of back neighborhoods and markets that we would never have seen had we not had a local guide. Nice stops for views and cathedral. The electric bikes are easy to use after some modest instruction and made the uphills fun and no big deal. All smiles after the trip." JCHIII Larkspur, California
